Spend an hour outside at North River with your family, exploring the sanctuary on a guided walk. Every animal out here is carrying some kind of superpower: fur that traps heat, feet that spread across snow, senses sharp enough to hunt in the dark. Follow the trails with a naturalist to look for the animals that rely on these tricks and the signs they leave behind. Then try a few of the same skills yourself! Come away knowing a little more about how to look at your own neighborhood through the year. This program takes place outdoors except in extreme weather, with up to 1.5 miles of walking on uneven terrain. Registration is required, though walk-ins are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire program; this is not a drop-off program.
