North River Wildlife Sanctuary — 2000 Main St., Marshfield, MA

North River Wildlife Sanctuary in winter is full of things worth paying close attention to, and this three-month series gives you the chance to explore the wonders of the season. Each month, a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist focuses on a seasonal topic: winter constellations in December, owls in January, and tracking and animal signs in February. Each session begins indoors with a brief introduction before heading out for at least 90 minutes on the sanctuary's trails, building natural history knowledge alongside a community of curious adult learners. It's a wonderful way to deepen your connection to this landscape. Participants travel mainly on trails and boardwalks through various habitats. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
