Three sessions, three distinct chapters of spring phenomena at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary. March opens with the signs of a landscape preparing for spring; April brings the ecology of vernal pools at their busiest; and May closes with spring wildflowers, emerging insects, and bird migration at its peak. Each session begins inside with a short introduction before you head out for at least 90 minutes of active exploration on the sanctuary's trails and boardwalks. Sessions run rain or shine, with at least 90 minutes of each session spent outside on trails and boardwalks over varied terrain. Registration covers all three sessions. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
