Smith Mountain Lake State Park — 1235 State Park Rd., Huddleston, VA
Stop by and investigate the variety of flora and fauna found around Smith Mountain Lake. Discover how the second largest lake in Virginia was created, or wander through our butterfly garden, learn about our ospreys, and explore at our "touch table." If you decide to continue your explorations outside the Center, on our trails, be sure to pick up one or more of our Jr. Discovery Series brochures. We have one for trees, wildflowers, reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and fish. Trail guides can also be found in the brochure rack at the Discovery Education Center.
