How did people and animals prepare for the colder months before grocery stores and refrigerators? Join our Young Naturalists as we explore the fall theme “Harvest, Store, Survive!” Children will discover how Sweet Run’s plants, wildlife, and early farming families gathered and stored food to make it through winter. Through hands-on activities, games, and outdoor exploration, young naturalists will search for seeds, nuts, fruits, and other signs of nature’s fall harvest while learning how animals cache food and people once preserved their harvest. All ages are welcome; however, this program is geared toward kids ages 3-8. Parents must stay with their young naturalists.
