Join a Ranger during Fall Free Fishing Weekend to learn some of the fundamentals of fishing. Don't have a fishing license? No worries, on September 25 through 27, 2026, the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is not requiring fishing licenses for recreational fishing in fresh or saltwater. Participants are welcome to bring their own fishing gear as there is a limited number of park rods that can be borrowed for this program. Participants of all ages are welcome to attend this program!
