We are excited that the traditional Harrisonburg Holiday Parade is returning on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in downtown Harrisonburg. In collaboration with Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, the Holiday Parade will be a part of the Winter Wonderfest event. This year’s parade theme is "Festival of Lights.” Limited spots will be available, entry deadline is Monday, November 9, 2026 unless maximum capacity of 70 units is reached. Parade will go South on Main Street starting at the Rockingham County Office Buildings. The parade begins at 7:00pm at the Rockingham County Office Building on Gay St and ends at City Hall. For the best view of the parade, spectators are encouraged to watch the parade along Main Street from Gay Street to City Hall. *Bands and walking groups will end at City Hall. Floats and vehicles will loop around to Grattan Street. Schedule of Events: 7:00pm The parade begins at 7:00pm at the Rockingham County Office Building on Gay St and ends at City Hall. Following the parade there will be a tree lighting ceremony in Court Square.
