The City of Harrisonburg is excited to participate as one of 38 venues in the Arts Council of the Valley's First Fridays of the Valley Program. The program will highlight artistic works by city employees and their family members. Visit Harrisonburg City Hall at 409 S Main St on the First Friday of the month for the opening reception or during regular office hours to see displays. 2026: (Please note that no events will take place on city holidays : April 3 and July 3) *No event will take place on Friday, September 4, 2026. August Celebration of Spirit: In July, various city departments and employees submitted photographs for a Fourth of July photo contest. Submissions will be on display in City Hall through the month of August. The opening reception is from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, August 7 in the lobby of City Hall. June Join Harrisonburg as we celebrate Pollinator Month during the month of June with the exhibit "Pollinator Friendly City". Photos of pollinators taken around City buildings will be displayed.
