Raymond R. "Andy" Guest, Jr. Shenandoah River State Park — 350 Daughter Of Stars Dr., Bentonville, VA

Join us as we explore how local wildlife adapts to the changing seasons through migration, food storage, and changes in behavior. Through a guided nature hike and hands-on activities, visitors will discover the ways animals respond to cooler weather. Learn how these seasonal changes help sustain the park’s diverse ecosystems throughout the winter months! This program is intended for families with young children. The hike will be about 0.5 miles on easy terrain. Please let us know you plan to attend by registering here. For more information about this program, please email megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov or call (540) 622-2262. This program will be led by a Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation student.
