Winchester Recreation Youth Wrestling Team (Grades 3–8) The Winchester Youth
Program welcomes wrestlers of all skill levels in grades 3–8. Practices are held twice a week, with a strong focus on building fundamentals and technique. The season runs from December through mid/late March, with weekend competitions in December and January that prepare athletes for post-season tournaments. Participation in these weekend events is encouraged, as it’s the best way to grow and gain experience. A full competition schedule will be available in December.
Wrestling shoes Headgear (required at all practices and competitions)
Each participant receives a team t-shirt, shorts, and sweatshirt. Please provide sizes when registering.
Wrestlers can wear their team shorts and t-shirts during scrimmages and tournaments. For those who would like to wear a singlet. Information on how to purchase will be shared after registration. Headgear- Headgear is required. We recommend the Cliff Keene Tornado head gear, but there are many styles and brands to choose from.
