ALL AGES: JoAnn Byrnes, a raptor rehabilitator, will be presenting amazing raptors, specifically, Red-tailed Hawks and Barn Owls, and how they are a pivotal part of the ecosystem, especially regarding rodent problems. JoAnn will share non-toxic ways to handle rat issues so that our raptors remain safe along the way. We will have an opportunity to meet Coco, a Red-tailed Hawk she rehabilitated, as well as her new Barn Owl who is now 9 weeks old! Coco will even show us how amazingly powerful he is when he flies. A display of feathers, hawk pellets, and pneumatic or hollow bird bones, all double-bagged, per state bird flu regulations, will be available for viewing and handling. Registration is required.
