Spend an afternoon with Larry Spotted Crow Mann for a cultural presentation woven from traditional drumming, storytelling, history, and contemporary Indigenous perspectives. Through song and conversation, you'll explore the deep Indigenous history of the North Shore and the lasting relationships among the land, rivers, and the Native peoples who have called this region home for thousands of years. Learn about Nipmuc culture, the meaning of place and kinship, and the ongoing presence and contributions of Indigenous communities today. An award-winning author and nationally recognized speaker, Larry Spotted Crow Mann is executive director of the Ohketeau Cultural Center and an enrolled citizen of the Hassanamisco Nipmuc Band. This program is part of Ipswich River's 75th anniversary celebration.
