Built in 1906 and designed by Cass Gilbert, the Beaux Arts building reflects America’s commercial ambitions through its architecture and iconography. But what was on the site going back to the 17th century? Learn these fun facts and hidden secrets of the Alexander Hamilton US Customs House, as well as the highlights of today’s museum.
