Rise Up!: Art and Activism

Wednesday, December 2, 2026 · 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Sara Sherman NOW Lab — 21 Concord Rd., Sudbury, MA

How can you make the world a better place? We’re calling young readers ages 6-11 ready to use their voice for change! We’ll discuss the book Rise Up! Powerful Protests in American History by Rachel Katz. We'll discover what we’re passionate about and then create powerful artwork to be displayed in the library. *Please note that staying for the full 2 hours is not required, however those who would like additional time for their artistic creations are welcome to stay. This program is supported by the Massachusetts Center for the Book's Great Reads MA initiative.
