Cooking is a life skill, and so is eating! On a mission to redefine kid food; Kids’ Test Kitchen’s enthusiastic Facilitators get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients! Students engage with food in a way that is both educational and fun. Through hands-on experience, kids are taught the value of fresh, healthy ingredients and gain appreciation for the process of transforming those ingredients into a finished product. Each class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids’ Test Kitchen, where participation is encouraged, and the choice to taste is always one’s own. Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned at home! Parents report their kids come home from Kids’ Test Kitchen EXCITED about fresh ingredients and new flavors! Reluctant eaters learn that food is safe and fun!
