Celebrate national archives month this October! Join NOW lab volunteers and Goodnow's Local History librarian in an artistic exploration of the library's local history collection. Each week on Thursday mornings, October 1st, 15th, and 29th, we'll explore a new hands-on art or craft style in response to an artifact or historic document. Not free to join on Thursday mornings? We'll be posting each week on social media the story behind that week's historic object. Make your own art at home, or drop by any of the NOW lab open hours to work on your project on your own time. In November, the library will hold a display of all art works produced in October alongside the collection objects they respond to. Drop ins are welcome, but registration is recommended to ensure enough supplies for participants. Open to ages 11+. Children ages 11-14 are required to have an adult join them in the NOW lab.
