Somerville Public Library – East Branch — 115 Broadway, Somerville, MA
We'll learn how build our own colorful flapping bird mechanisms, exploring how simple linkages can turn one kind of movement into another - similar to a how a simple umbrella works! Once the basic mechanism is working, there’s lots of room to experiment with the shape, size, and personality of each creation (perhaps someone will design a pteranodon in celebration of DINOvember?). This program is for ages 8-14. Children under 8 will need a grown-up building buddy! Questions?
