Renewable Climate is a nonprofit organization based in Shrewsbury dedicated to educating children about climate change and renewable energy. Our program combines structured climate science education with real engineering experience, giving participants the knowledge and skills to understand our changing planet and build actual solutions with their own hands. Each session is divided into two parts. The first half is an educational lesson covering a climate-related topic such as rising sea levels, extreme weather events, carbon emissions, solar energy, or wind power. The second half is a hands-on engineering build session where participants use the skills and concepts from the lesson to construct a real working project! Projects include miniature wind turbines, solar panel circuits, wired LED systems, and other climate-related engineering builds. For grades 3-7, registration is required.
