For over 45 years, Moose Hill has celebrated one of New England's sweetest traditions, and now it's your turn to experience it firsthand. This 90-minute guided tour takes you through the complete journey from tree to table. You'll discover how we sustainably manage our Sugar Maples to keep them thriving year after year. Watch as demonstrators showcase the evolution of maple sugaring, from historical techniques passed down through generations to the modern methods used today. The tour culminates at our working sugar house, where the air is thick with steam and the scent of boiling sap. Here, you'll witness the final transformation and taste pure New England maple syrup, nothing added, nothing artificial, just the concentrated sweetness of the forest. Come see why this tradition has captivated our community for nearly half a century. The maples are calling! The tour runs mostly outdoors on trails that can be slippery and uneven. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program. In the event of severe weather conditions, the program may be cancelled or postponed.
