Are you new to the game American Mah Jongg? Has it been a long time since you played and you need to practice? Come join our open play sessions on Thursday mornings! These sessions are intended for players who are familiar with the rules of American Mah Jongg and are looking for a casual and supportive space to practice and improve their mahjong skills by playing with other beginner players. No formal play instruction will be provided. Players must provide their own American Mah Jongg sets and National Mah Jongg League cards. We'll provide the tables and chairs! These sessions are drop-in so no registration is required. Space is limited. First come, first served. Special note: Whenever there is an odd number of players, it is polite and courteous to have the "floater" (extra player) join a table after a player gets a Mahjong or the game is over. The East Player for that table will become the new floater and be able to play again after the next game is over. This keeps the games balanced and ensures everyone gets playing time without disrupting the flow of the open play session.
