In 2024 the Ipswich-Rowley Rotary Club gifted the Rowley Public Library with a Happy to Chat bench to foster community and social connection through communication. To help celebrate and promote the library’s new bench and its mission, we held a Meet Your Neighbor Week, which was such a wonderful success that we’re doing it again! We're hosting a chatting series at the Happy to Chat bench with rotating guest “chatters”, from state elected representatives and town elected officials to local authors, artists and community leaders, in support of the Massachusetts Coalition to Build Community and End Loneliness and National Good Neighbor Day. Drop by to meet other community members and learn more about your neighborhood! In case of inclement weather, our guest chatters will be available to speak to visitors in the library lobby.
