Celebrate America's 250th birthday and one of the most famous and impactful events of the American Revolution: The Boston Tea Party, which occurred 253 years ago, on this day, December 16! On December 16, 1773, one of the most infamous and impactful events of the American Revolution took place in the Boston Harbor. Bostonians marched from the Old South Meeting House to Griffin’s Wharf and dumped 342 chests of tea belonging to the British East India Company. They were protesting both taxation without representation and the monopoly of the East India Company. Travel back to 1773 and experience history through taste! This engaging workshop, hosted by experts from Therapy Gardens, brings the Boston Tea Party to life with a deep dive into the event, and a tasting of some of the teas thrown into Boston Harbor. This session combines history, discussion, and tasting to create a truly engaging experience.
