Part of Our Fall Music Lecture Series Whether you are new to metal music or a seasoned Metalhead, you will find much to appreciate and enjoy from this lecture. David Marvuglio will discuss the origins and evolution of Metal Music as well as its cultural impact. Learn about the pioneering artists and songs that shaped this genre of music into what it is today. All are welcome to join as we explore this exciting genre, as well as the subcultures and subgenres that have emerged from it. About the Presenter David Marvuglio is a bassist, educator and internationally touring musician and clinician. He has pioneered courses on Metal, Punk, Hardcore, and Indie Rock styles at Berklee College of Music. He is the current bassist for Daath (Metal Blade Records). He has performed and recorded with such artists as Ice Nine Kills, Victor Wooten, Alex Skolnick, Paul Masvidal, Jeff Loomis, Sarah Longfield, and The Smyrk. He is the author of Metal Bass Lines on Berklee Press / Hal Leonard.
