Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary — 113 Goodnow Rd., Princeton, MA
How do animals stay warm and find food in the winter? How do plants wait out the cold? Over February vacation, children ages 5 to 7 explore what is really happening at Wachusett Meadow during the winter months, through themed games, hikes, and craft projects that highlight the plants, insects, and animals that have adapted to New England winter. Take advantage of the break from school by exploring outside and reconnecting with yourself, friends, and nature. Register for individual days or sign up for all four. A health form and a signed waiver are required before the program begins. These will be sent via email prior to the program. This program takes place mostly outdoors except for extreme weather. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
