Newton Rec. Tennis and JXS Tennis Academy, Welcomes you to our fun filled Tennis Programs. Our goal is to teach you how fun tennis is to play and learn. We aim to teach you the grips, swing patterns and footwork you'll play great tennis and have a great time. No Classes will be held October 10, 11, and 12th! This means children can control the ball and racquet, develop proper swing technique and get a real sense of playing the game. Orange Ball: Ages 8 – 12. 21/23-inch racquets are used with an orange ball that is lower compression that travels a little faster and farther than the red ball. players are taught proper technique for all strokes-focusing on groundstroke development, net play and serving. Footwork and beginning level of basic strategy – how to keep score and rally. Green Ball: Ages 10 – 14. 25/27 inch racquets are used.
