New Art Center — Newton, MA
culture@newtonma.gov with questions or call 617-796-1545. As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, we invite the Newton community to come together to create, connect, and shine a light in the darkness together. Please join us for hands-on lantern-making workshops to create beautiful paper and willow lanterns illuminated with LED lights. Beginning in November and running through January, we will offer several workshops in three locations for various ages and abilities. Participants will learn a new artistic technique, but also have the chance to be part of something bigger—the
Lantern Parade, on January 24 at Newton City Hall— with music, hot chocolate and a joyous celebration of community. More details to follow.
