Join us for an evening of Yiddish song and Klezmer instrumentals, presented by local supergroup The Soloveychicks. Be prepared for a mix of deep-listening time with chances to sing along and get up and dance! The Soloveychicks (Yiddish for “little nightingales”) are a dynamic and intricate acoustic trio - featuring Rebecca Mac (violin), Adah Hetko (vocals, guitar), and Giulia Hiable (cello) - performing original takes on new and traditional Yiddish songs and Klezmer instrumentals. This ensemble has performed at notable Boston venues including the Burren and Club Passim. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local council that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the City of Newton.
