Join the Newburyport Public Library and Tailwinds Raptor Education for an evening of education and wonder. An owl's favorite holiday is Owlloween and this year we invite the community to celebrate with us by learning about the magnificent birds that call our skies home. Come to meet and learn about some of Tailwinds' bird ambassadors including Greta, a charismatic turkey vulture, and a some of their owls. About Tailwinds: Tailwinds Raptor Education & Conservation emphasizes the importance of conservation education for fostering environmental literacy. Through educational programs featuring non-releasable raptors, the organization connects the community with these birds up close. The Library has assistive listening technology for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing that sends sound directly to a hearing device.
