Please join the Powow River Poets on October 3, 2025 at 2:30 p.m., in person at the Newburyport Public Library, for our monthly poetry reading. The invited readers this month are A.M. Juster and Angela Alaimo O'Donnell. Poet and translator A.M. Juster , the only three-time winner of the Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award, has authored twelve books, the most recent including Wonder and Wrath (Paul Dry Books 2020), Gerytades (Contubernales Books 2023) and Girlatee (Paul Dry Books 2025), plus his translation of Petrarch’s Canzoniere (W.W. Norton, 2026). Angela Alaimo O’Donnell is a writer, poet, scholar, and professor at Fordham University in New York City where she teaches English, Creative Writing, and American Catholic Studies. She also serves as Associate Director of the Curran Center for American Catholic Studies. O’Donnell is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a Master’s and Ph. D. in English Language & Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Readings from invited poets will be followed by an Open Mic.
