En-ROADS Climate Simulator Introduction (IN PERSON)

En-ROADS is a global climate simulator that allows users to explore the impact that dozens of policies—such as electrifying transport, pricing carbon, and improving agricultural practices—have on hundreds of factors like energy prices, temperature, air quality, and sea level rise. Created by Climate Interactive in partnership with MIT Sloan, En-ROADS uses the best available science and thousands of calculations and graphs to visualize wide-scale change. In this program, we will traverse the simulator, testing our assumptions about what climate solutions will have the greatest impact. Tucker Lamothe will provide helpful insights through the experience, but the learning will be driven by you! Come dive into the numerous options our governments have for a climate future, and the world that emerges with lasting change. About the Presenter: Tucker Lamothe is a senior at Pingree School in South Hamilton. He has been involved in climate action events since he was young, but became truly passionate about sustainability work when he participated in a middle school book club focused on navigating and understanding an uncertain climate future.
