Get cozy and learn all about the quiet, sleepy world of animals who hibernate in the winter. Gather for a reading of Time to Sleep by Denise Fleming, then meet one of the real animals who star in the story for a special close-up encounter that brings the book to life. Find out what hibernation looks like, why some animals do it while others brave the cold, and how these creatures prepare for months without food. Then, get creative and make a craft featuring hibernating animals to take home and keep you company through the short, chilly days to come. Meet in front of the Nature Center. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Expect to walk along wooded trails.
