Boats, Beaches, Clouds and Sky Artwork celebrating the Neponset River, Cape Cod, Turner’s Pond and other beautiful local scenes will be on display at the Wotiz Gallery, Milton Public Library during the month of October. Beth Neville’s adult art class has been renamed the “Neponset River Artists” to connect their paintings with local scenery. A reception will be held, Thursday, October 8th, 6-8 pm. All are welcome to enjoy refreshments and admire the artwork. Paintings will include pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylics, and colored pens. Most of the art is by artists who have been working to improve their skills for years, but several beginners are displaying their paintings for the first time. Artists exhibiting at the library include Heather Putnam, Martha Cotton, Mary Frances Kane, Janice Shamon, Loretta Britt, Anne Dooley, Lana Agnew, Mary Glynn, Patty Harrington, Mary Driscoll, Kirsten MacLean, Kevin McLaughlin, Brian Conroy, Andy Beliveau, John McLaughlin, Christophe VanRiet, Mark Ostrem, Sheila O’Donnell and Allie Hodges.
