Blue Hills Trailside Museum — 1904 Canton Ave., Milton, MA
On this guided walk, our naturalist leads you through the trails surrounding Blue Hills Trailside Museum, locating and identifying what we see and hear while sharing the ecology and conservation needs of local birds. Most migratory birds have headed south for the season, but cold-weather residents like Pileated Woodpecker, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Brown Creeper stay active in the Blue Hills and are easier to spot now that the trees are bare. All levels welcome. The full program takes place outdoors on a 1 to 1.5 mile hike over mostly flat trail, with some sections of uneven terrain. Museum admission is included, so feel free to explore inside after the walk. In the event of severe weather conditions, the program may be cancelled or postponed. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
