Blue Hills Trailside Museum — 1904 Canton Ave., Milton, MA
On this guided walk, our naturalist leads you through the trails surrounding Blue Hills Trailside Museum, helping everyone find and identify what we see and hear while sharing the ecology and conservation needs of local birds. Many migratory birds have headed south for the season, but dedicated cold-weather residents like Pileated Woodpecker, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Brown Creeper are still active in the Blue Hills—and easier to spot now that the leaves are down. All levels welcome. Meet outside in front of the Blue Hills Trailside Museum. The full program takes place outdoors. Museum admission is included; feel free to explore inside after the walk. Bathrooms and water bottle filling station available. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for a 1 to 1.5 mile hike on mostly flat trail, with some sections of uneven terrain. Bring binoculars if you have them.
