Please join us to delight in a concert by the classical duo of viola player Taisiya Sokolova and violinist Leqing Wang. Kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and the Milton Library Foundation, this classical concert is great for all ages. Dr. Taisiya Sokolova is a native of Russia, and she began playing the violin at the age of three. Now based in Boston, she recently completely her Doctorate of Music Arts in Viola Performance at Boston University, studying under Steve Ansell of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She also trained with Atar Arad and Wei-Ting Kuo, respectively, during her undergraduate studies. Her career spans orchestral, chamber, and solo performance. Chinese-born violinist Leqing Wang has performed throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, appearing at distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Boston Symphony Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Shanghai Concert Hall. She has played as a soloist with the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, performing William Walton’s Violin Concerto.
