Immerse yourself in a full year of natural history in the Blue Hills. Led by our expert naturalists on the third Saturday of each month, this series covers shifting seasonal highlights happening right outside your door. We'll cover fall migrations and forests, the quiet of winter owls and tracking, spring amphibians and pollinators, summer breeding birds and fireflies, and more. Sessions begin inside with a short introduction before heading out for at least 90 minutes of active field exploration at the trails surrounding Blue Hills Trailside Museum or nearby Chickatawbut Hill, typically closed to the public. Participants build lasting natural history knowledge, a rewarding community of like-minded adults, and an intimate seasonal familiarity with the Blue Hills.
