Calling all kids in fourth and fifth grade who are looking for a group of friends to talk about books and reading! Join a kids' book group with the Melrose Public Library Children's Room. Kids will all check out the same book (announced the month before the program), then gather to discuss, read, and explore the book further. Copies of the book are available at the Children's Desk. E-copies and audiobook copies of some books may also be found on Libby. This month's book: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein (graphic novel version) Kids' groups are based on grade level only, not reading level - the books will vary month to month. Please sign children up for the kids' group that matches their grade level. Kids will get a chance to meet, connect, and discuss with grade level peers, whether the book is a quick read or a book they read with someone else. All 4th and 5th grade children are welcome. Registration is not required, but is recommended to get a reminder for the group meeting and to find out more about the activity for the month. Caregivers must remain in the library for the duration of the program.
