You know how to knit, purl, cast on, and bind off. In this beginner class with Rachelle you will learn the most common ways to shape your work through different kinds of increases and decreases, and look at how they are used in patterns. This class will also cover the basics of reading written and charted knitting patterns. Homework to complete before class: Using worsted weight yarn and size 7 or 8 needles, cast on 30 stitches and knit one inch of stockinette, leaving the piece on the needles so that it's ready to continue in class. This program is for adults and teens 13+. The library strives to be open and accessible for all. If you need accommodations to attend the program, please be sure to register. There is a follow-up question that will help us understand how we can include you in our programs.
