Boston Nature Center and Wildlife Sanctuary — 500 Walk Hill St., Mattapan, MA
Some of the best holiday gifts come from the land and are made with your own hands. Give a gift they'll cherish by gathering winter botanicals from the Boston Nature Center and following practices that have been used in soap making for centuries. Transform your harvest into a handmade, plastic-free soap to take home, exploring the science and craft of saponification alongside a long tradition of plant-based wellness. The trails are flat and easy to walk and navigate with mobility devices. The Nature Center offers convenient amenities including bathrooms, a water bottle filling station, and a large parking lot. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring a water bottle. This program is free for Dot Rx members. Dot Rx members should email [email protected] to register.
