In this homeschool program, young naturalists head outside with their caregiver and a Mass Audubon educator to explore the science of wind and fall weather through outdoor activities and a trail walk. Observe how shifting air and changing weather shapes the landscape: scattering seeds, stripping leaves, pushing migrating birds along their journeys, and signaling animals to prepare for winter. Small group sizes keep the pace discovery-driven and the questions coming. Meet in the Nature Center. Bring sturdy footwear for up to 1.5 miles of uneven terrain.
