T-Stop Trek: Winter Wildlife in the Fells

Sunday, January 17, 2027 · 9:00 AM

Oak Grove MBTA Station — 287 Washington St., Malden, MA

No car? No problem! Ride the Orange Line to its last stop at Oak Grove and set out for Middlesex Fells Reservation, a long stretch of woods, ridges, and ponds at the northern edge of the city. A naturalist guide will lead the way and show you how to read the signs winter animals leave behind. Look for tracks in snow and mud, chewed twigs, scattered feathers, and other clues that hint at who has been moving through. See public transportation as a pathway to discovery and develop a deeper sense of belonging with the environments we pass by every day. Meet at the Oak Grove T-stop on the MBTA Orange Line by the crosswalk that crosses Washington Street. We will travel approximately three miles during this program. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
