As moonlight fills the winter woods, step into the world of owls through a story and up-close encounter. Gather round and get cozy for a reading of the beloved picture book Owl Moon by Jane Yolen. After the story, meet one of our wildlife ambassador owls and learn how these majestic birds thrive in the dark. Then, bundle up and follow in the footsteps of the story's characters by searching the trails for wild owls and find out who's calling in the distance. This program includes indoor time for the story plus a walk in low light along paved paths and dirt and wooded trails. Trail surfaces may be slippery from snow and ice at this time of year.
