Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary — 208 S Great Rd., Lincoln, MA
As the sun goes down, Drumlin Farm comes alive with a different set of residents, and owls are among the most spectacular. Begin outside the Nature Center by examining real owl wings, skulls, talons, and feathers to discover the remarkable adaptations that make these birds master hunters in the dark. Then, head out into the fields and forests at dusk, listening and watching for Eastern Screech-owls, Barred Owls, and Great Horned Owls as they begin their evening hunt. A naturalist will guide you every step of the way, sharing owl calls, behaviors, and the best tricks for spotting them in the trees. Expect to walk along paved paths as well as dirt and wooded trails in low light. More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
