Kids get a chance to make their voices heard with Kids Vote Too: a fun, self-guided library activity where young readers vote for their favorite storybook characters! Kids will learn that voting is one way people share their opinions and participate in making decisions. They’ll get to practice the voting process by choosing their favorite storybook character from a selection of familiar favorites, casting their ballot, and seeing how individual votes come together to determine the group’s choice. This passive program gives kids a hands-on introduction to concepts like making a choice, having a voice, participating in a community, and respecting the choices of others, all while celebrating their love of books!
