Hands on STEM (Grades 5-8)

Friday, September 25, 2026 · 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Sibley Hall — 99 Main St., Groton, MA

Students will tackle a classic engineering challenge: building a popsicle-stick bridge! Working in teams, they'll explore structural design, weight distribution, and what makes some structures stronger than others. After sketching their designs, teams will build and test their bridges to see how much weight they can hold. No experience needed and all materials will be provided.
