Discover the history, classic artwork, and narrative traditions of tarot in this creative, interactive workshop. Teens will learn the structure of the four suits and the visual symbolism of the Major Arcana cards. Focusing on Pamela Colman Smith’s famous 1909 illustrations for the Rider-Waite deck, participants will explore how the imagery can be used as creative prompts for character development and storytelling. Teens will have the chance to analyze card structures, discuss interpretive themes, and practice basic layouts for creative writing and brainstorming. Discussion is encouraged.
