Drop-In Knitting & Crochet/ Loose Ends Project

Tuesday, October 6, 2026 · 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Main Lobby — 412 Main St., Greenfield, MA

Tonight's Drop-In Knitting & Crochet group has a special guest, a volunteer from the Loose Ends Project. This meeting will take place in person and on Zoom. If you are unable to join in person, contact us for the Zoom link. The Loose Ends Project matches volunteer handwork finishers with textile projects (knitting, quilting, sewing, etc.) left unfinished due to a maker's death, illness, or disability. With nearly 37,000 volunteers, our nonprofit fosters community and eases grief by returning completed, cherished items to families. One volunteer says, "I personally had the opportunity to complete a knitted sweater for a woman whose mother was unable to complete it before she passed away. It was a rewarding experience not only to finish something that her mother had started but to be able to give her something to remind her of her mother." For more information or stories from the project, please check the Loose Ends Project website. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library.
