Join Sarah Bolduc of the Greenfield Historical Commission in the library's Community Meeting Room for a brief telling of the story of Greenfield's city stagecoach, from the mystery of its origins to the modern restoration efforts being undertaken today. Greenfield's 1867 Concord stagecoach has been a mystery for generations. But new research details its origin in full, for the first time. In tracing a chain of stewardship, we see how one object survived through disaster, civic transition, and changing public priorities. This is a story of how communities endure through time, and how the responsibility of stewardship is passed from one generation to the next.
