Music through the Decades with David Polansky

We are excited to welcome back David Polansky for a performance. The show will last approximately an hour. Please register by clicking the button below, as space is limited. The Norman Rockwell Museum commissioned David Polansky to develop “Music Through The Decades”, a fun filled hour where he will talk about how the last hundred-plus years of American and world history have inspired so many of the songs we love. He will sing and play keyboard and the trumpet. The set may include the music of George M. Cohan, Fats Waller, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, and a host of others whose song were inspired by the gay 90ʼs, the advent of the automobile, World War I, Roaring 20ʼs, The Great Depression, WWII, The Big Band, Atomic Age, Swing Eras, Broadway and the Wild West (OverThere, Sweet Georgia Brown, Brother Can You Spare a Dime, Rosie the Riveter and many more). David will also, take questions and telling some very funny anecdotes about famous musicians as well as some about his own life as a performer.
