Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary — 127 Combs Rd., Easthampton, MA
Gizzard stones. Elaborate courtship displays. A remarkable conservation comeback story. Wild turkeys have fascinating life stories, and this family program at Arcadia digs into all of it. Through games, turkey calls, and a nature walk in search of the real thing, kids will explore what makes these birds so complex and resilient. Along the way, you'll discover how conservation efforts brought wild turkeys back from the brink, and what that story means for wildlife all around you. This program takes place both inside and outside, so please wear warm layers and comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes. The outdoor portion involves walking roughly half a mile on trails.
